Amazing and Adventurous Andamans - Part 1

Hello Friends
I am back with my another travel story filled with adventures and explorations.

Get ready, I am going to take you all with me on the mesmerizing Islands and beaches of Andaman and Nicobar which are far away from the hustle-bustle of the City. Yes, you heard me correct.

Serene and Beautiful Andamans

The Andaman and Nicobar, a Union Territory of the India which is an extensive collection of Islands in the Bay of Bengal. It is famous for white sandy beaches, coral reefs, and tropical rainforest cover.

Day 1:

We'll land at the Port Blair, the capital of Andamans. Prepare yourself for the quick exploration of the city.

Let's start our day visiting the most popular Cellular Jail, also known as Kaala Pani. Prominently used at the time of the British's rule over India.

Here, we'll learn the struggle of the Indian freedom fighters, the life of the prisoners and unimaginable tortures given to them by the Britishers.
There are cells for the solitary confinement of the revolutionaries and also a place to execute them. Among many famous revolutionaries to be imprisoned, the prominent one was honorary Veer Savarkar.

We can also see the gorgeous view of the city on one side and Bay of Bengal waters at another, from the terrace of the jail.

Before the nightfall, we will spend the rest of the day at Port Blair's famous Corbyn Cove Beach.

There are a few water sports activities offered on the beach.

The adventure begins here, we together will take our foot into the water, to experience the most thrilling - Jetski ride.

It gets more adventurous when we move across the waves.

This is how we'll spend the first day, at the city's main attractions.

Day 2:

To experience some more daring activities, join me today. Via ferry, I will take you to another beautiful island called North Bay.

I have planned some more water activities here for us.
With a few options like Sea Walking, Snorkeling, and Scuba Diving to choose from, we can get enough adrenaline rush.

We'll first experience Sea Walking, which is walking on the sea bed. Are you ready to experience another thrilling activity?

Within a few minutes, you'll live the best time of your life as you are going to walk on the sea bed, 20 feet deep in the water.
While walking, you'll also get a chance to touch a small coral reef with your bare hands. Isn't it incredible?

We can also feed some bread pieces to the fishes inside the waters. They'll surround you like a scene you may remember of the movie Piranha.

Of course, it'll be a once in a lifetime experience walking barefoot on the sea bed.

Just after the activity, we'll explore the small and beautiful North Bay Island. Which is mostly under control of the forest department. We can have refreshments and purchase some souvenirs made of seashells.

After some time via ferry, we will land to Ross Island. It was once considered as the leisure island of the Andamans (in times of British Era)

Get ready to take a long walk to explore the Island with its historic ruins of the church, swimming pool, water treatment plan etc. I can assure, you'll get an unusual experience walking along with deers and peacocks which have been living on this Island. This is all we'll explore on our second day.

Day 3:

On the third day, we'll enjoy the enthralling beauty of nature.

Let's visit the Jolly Buoy Island - an untouched and serene nature. It has blue crystal clear waters, rich in exotic coral reefs and marine life.

JollyBuoy - Painted by Nature

The colorful corals at Jolly Buoy island are something that one will not easily experience in any other parts of the islands.

Are you all excited like me to touch such an island ??

Join me at Wandoor, it is a short drive of 30 km from Port Blair. We'll catch a ferry to this beautiful island.
The Jolly buoy has some underwater activities like Snorkeling and Scuba Diving to offer.

Happy us in blue waters

Another cool thing this island offers is the Glass boat ride. We can witness colorful coral reefs with sea turtles and starfishes in their natural habitat.

Beware of scary things here. A Monitor Lizard, just where we may take a seat.

Can you spot it !!

After spending the quality of time, the ferry will take us back to Wandoor beach.

This is a first half of the trip to Andaman filled with fun and adventure.

Let's enjoy it to the fullest and stay tuned for another half of the trip filled with a lifetime experience of natural beauty.
