Rome - An ancient city on the canvas of Modern World

Traveling is an incredible component of human existence. Especially visiting new places enriches our personality, with new sights, tastes, and cultures.

Luckily, I get opportunities to visit the desirable places in the world. Recently I visited Rome, the capital of Italy. An ancient city of the once most popular empire.
If you guys wonder how to spend two to three days in Rome. Don't worry, here are some ideas to explore.

Rome is one of the most iconic cities in Europe, with a long history to match. It is a melting pot of ethnicities and cultures from around the world. A foodie's heaven, from the world-class cuisine to takeaway pizzas. Archaeological wonders, ancient sites, famous museums, Rome has it all.

DAY 1

Start your day by visiting one of the largest and most beautiful squares in Rome, Piazza Navona with two majestic fountains, where The Church of Sant'Agnese stands to provide an impressive backdrop.

Soak up the atmosphere of this Square, sample the lauded local cuisine and street art.
Don't forget to taste the lip-smacking Gelato here.

Take your time, to truly explore the incredible artworks here, from all angles.
One can also utilize the impressive architecture around to get a pre or post-wedding shoot.

We observed a couple all decked up in wedding dress, hands in hands at the Fontana dei Fiumi right in the middle of the Piazza. Isn't that sound romantic!!

DAY 2
Fill up your stomach, tighten the belt and most importantly keep your phone charged. As you are going to walk a lot (don't be afraid) and click beautiful pictures throughout the day.

While going to the extremely popular, Fontana di Trevi makes an obligatory halt for the amazing landmark Piazza di Spagna, climb the famous Spanish Steps for the church Trinita dei Monti to get the best view of the town.

Fontana di Trevi is the most beautiful and the largest fountain in Rome. It is always packed with people, you would be lucky to get a photo without being photobombed. We were not!!

After getting the incredible view of the fountain, take a walk for the magnificent Pantheon. It was an ancient Roman temple, now a church. This wondrous structure is standing tall amid small streets of Rome.

While walking towards this most ancient monument, you will see a wood souvenir and toys store - The Pinocchio Shop. Don't forget to take a step into it, as you will definitely get amazed by Pinocchios in different shapes, colors, and sizes.

Now, it's the time to end your day by visiting the capital's most remarkable monument, The Colosseum, to get your history fix. It will take you back in time to discover the way of life in the Roman Empire. Not only this, it is even one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. It is also known as a Flavian Amphitheater. A remarkable structure which has paved the way for enjoying sports and influences the design of the modern world's large stadiums.

Once we enter in this ancient building, we could see what all were this building had to go through. It has survived several earthquakes and modern days pollution. 

The Colosseum was also shown in one of the most iconic Hollywood movie - Gladiator.

There is evidence that the Romans used various exotic animals in the arena, either for hunting or included in the gladiator games.

DAY 3
On the last day visit the world's smallest country, The Vatican City.
A small country inside Rome, where Pope (head of Catholics) resides.

It has one of the most breath-taking squares named, St Peter's Square. Hold your jaw, it may drop seeing such a large and fascinating structure. Don't miss to step into St. Peter's Basilica, which is at one side of the square.

Make sure to visit the all famous the Sistine Chapel, the official residence of the Pope. Therefore, having all these beautiful places to see Vatican City is definitely worth a day of your time.
