Image
I like to say that travel never gets old-fashioned and every time I get to visit a new place, beautiful things happen. Sunset at Eiffel Tower I suppose everybody has heard of the most beautiful, colorful and chic city of Europe, which by now you might already have visited or at least have it written somewhere very high on your bucket list to visit for sure. Any guesses? Of course, it is  PARIS , one of the most beautiful cities in France(and Europe probably) which is also a Fashion capital of this part of the world. Recently, I was fortunate enough to visit the capital of France with my spouse. We planned a four days trip from Bucharest to explore the beauties and grandeur it has to offer. Hold on guys here, I am going to share my entire experience over the trip and itinerary with you all. After our two and a half hour journey from Bucharest, we reached Paris. Instead of a taxi, we prefer to reach our hotel Ibis in Montmartre via metro and tram, as taxis in Paris are...

A day full of adventure outside Bucharest

Image
View from Bran Castle Being a Travelholic, I love to explore different cities, especially when already I have been living in the beautiful European country Romania. People don't usually prefer to visit here as there are already many popular destinations in Europe, but Romania, having beautiful green landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and many medieval era cities, it's definitely worth a few days of your time. Here I am going to share my Incredible experience of, one day adventure to beautiful Brasov and Sinaia - the mountain covered town, out from Bucharest, the capital city of Romania. First coming to the historical town, Sinaia. It is famous for its pristine nature, delightful views and oh so important beyond pretty European castles this city has to offer. Peles Castle, Sinaia One of the most popular is The Peles Castle, called the home of Sinaia. It was the world's first Castle fully powered by locally produced electricity. Surrounded by beautiful mountain...

Romania Travel Diary - 2 Day visit to Sibiu from Bucharest

Image
Hello guys, I am back with my another travel experience to share with you all. This time I am going to share my visit to Sibiu, Romania. I have been living in Bucharest for a few months which is the capital of Romania. Romania is a country in southwestern Europe and shares border with Bulgaria, Hungary, Ukraine and has coastal areas with the Black Sea. It is known for beautiful landscapes, big castles, medieval era cities, one of the largest government building called the Palace of Parliament (Palatul Parlamentului). It is one of the largest countries in Europe, roughly the size of UK or half of France. Same time, it is one of the least known places in Europe where we can still see traditional rural civilization, old handicrafts, friendly people, colorful countryside towns and villages where time seems to have stood still. The people here usually speak Romanian with few who can also speak English, French, Spanish, and Russian. We planned a two day trip to Sibiu on the eve of Xmas t...

Trip to Dalhousie and Dharamshala

Image
Hello everyone, Hope you all had a great time reading my first travel story. Now here I am going to share my another experience with you all, a 3 day trip to Dalhousie and Dharamshala in the month of February. This was my first trip after 15 days of marriage. We were two couples I and my spouse, a cousin and his wife. We started our journey in the night from Agra to Dalhousie in our car. We had a few breaks in our journey to enjoy the sightseeing while long drive, cold but pleasant weather, relishing local food on the way.  Let me give you a brief description of these cities. Dalhousie is a hill station in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated on 5 hills surrounded by snow-capped peaks and had been a summer retreat for Britishers. Dharamshala is near to Dalhousie and has been the Dalai Lama's residence and is surrounded by dense forest. So while entering the state of Himachal Pradesh, we could experience some cold breeze coming from the Himalayas,...

Worth day trip out of Bangalore - Somanathpura and Mysore

Image
We planned a day trip to Somanathpura and Mysore from Bangalore. It was a sudden plan and we decided to visit with our car. We were four people, I, my spouse and my in-laws. In Somnathpura we visited Keshava Temple. It is a 12th-century temple of Lord Visnu, made of stone and around 140 KM from Bangalore. This temple is also known as Chennakesava Temple, is a Vaishnava Hindu Temple on the banks of River Kaveri. We started early in the morning for Somanathpura so to skip the city traffic and enjoy the mornings of city outskirts. Soon, we started to observe a lot of changes, the road spread out nicely, straight with no traffic, the people living in the homes beside the road seemed to wake up early, children playing in front of houses instead of holding any smartphone in their hands which is a usual sight in cities, farm fields where farming was in progress. It was my first time when I have observed the life of the people living outside Bangalore. I noticed their life is slow and simp...
